Welcome to our site!
Spring brings us hope and color our world...that is, if we just experienced winter. Since we are living in a tropical country with only two seasons (wet and dry). We are always wishing for a sunny weather... if it rains too much and a drop of rain when it gets too hot! These are days you'll remember...
| To celebrate My (Mylene) 39th birthday, Fabrice and I went to macau and spent the whole weekend with our dear friends:a couple we met in Chongqing...Rob and Sheila. While Diego and Gabriel stayed in Jakarta with "Tita" Joan. Fabrice and Cherryl were kind enough to bring them to their regular Sunday brunch at the Ritz.

The family took a 30 hour door-to door trip from Jakarta to Knokke-Le Zoute, Belgium for their 10 day Easter Holiday with Fabrice's parents. Fabrice and I revisited Brugge, first time for Diego and Gabriel.

Lola Elena accompanied by Christine, Andrea (grand daughters) and Tonee (great-grand daughter) arrived in jakarta just in time for our return. Daem (mom of Tonee) was with us in Belgium. This was the welcome dinner in a Sundanese restaurant.
Diego kept asking us to bring him to the sea so he could see the dolphins. An hour drive from South Jakarta on an early Saturday morning, we granted his wish. But after two shows before the '"real dolphin" show he was restless and bored...both children were flushing due to hot temperature so we decided to go back home. Maybe next time, we'll get the chance to see all te attractions at Gelanggang Samudra. ![]()

We were at the Ritz Carlton Sunday Brunch and Diego joined the "little chefs", they made a special cake for their beloved moms.
The Special Region of Yogyakarta is the smallest province of Indonesia (excluding Jakarta). It is located on the island of Java. Yogyakarta is the only province in Indonesia that is still governed by that area's precolonial monarchy; The Sultan of Yogyakarta serves as the elected governor of the province. In English it is pronounced /ˌdʒoʊɡdʒəˈkɑrtə/ which derives from its Dutch spelling Jogjakarta. In Javanese (and Dutch) it is pronounced [joɡjaˈkartɔ]. It is also referred to more casually as Jogja.
The city of Yogyakarta is the capital of the province. (from wikipedia)
We stayed there for 2 nights. The day we arrived, we went to see galleries of batik and other crafts using the "bejak". the next day we visited the Sultan's palace and the water castle. From there we paved our way to Borobudur Temple... we made to to the top!

It is a common thing for a foreigner in Indonesia to be called "bule" (booh-leh). And being a bule you attract a lot of attention. Aside from being a bule, Gabriel is also a very cute baby

But this other boy has grown into a man...he did attract some fans too! ![]()
We quietly celebrated Fabrice birthday on June 9 at Pejaten home. The chocolate cake was homemade and I didn't have enough candles to represent his age. So, I just took the "3" candle from Diego's recent birthday cake. We only did the "candle blowing ceremony" for Diego's sake...he likes it very much!
